Morning Light
Another beautiful Iris in a garden in Billings Montana. This is a series of about 10 I would like to complete. The owner had about 2 acres of different Iris and I just fell in love with her garden. I took many pictures and this Iris really stood out. Look at how full the falls are! and the glowing purples and oranges. It really was saying PAINT ME!! I love painting in watercolors. I love the way the colors glow through each layer and fill with light, like stained glass.
All my watercolor paintings are painted on Arches 300# cold-pressed, bright white watercolor paper. Arches paper is archival and acid-free. I use M. Graham and Winsor and Newton's professional watercolor paints. My colors are permanent and archival and will not fade or change color! I will never paint with fugitive colors no matter how beautiful or vibrant they are. It is important to me that my paintings will last a lifetime and beyond with the proper care and attention.
