Cherries and Stripes
This watercolor painting is the 3rd in a series of still lifes painted with fruit and fun cloth backgrounds.
I love how cherries are so vibrant and glossy! I really try to portray the deep and dusky darks on the cherries yet keep those glossy and juicy colors vibrant. Look for all the vibrant colors in the shadows. I really think they make they make the cherries really stand out
I painted this watercolor with only 3 permanent, transparent, staining colors. It is very important to me that I am confident that my original watercolor paintings will stand the test of time and stay as vibrant as the day I created them.
I paint on Arches 300#, cold pressed, bright white, 100% cotton, acid free watercolor paper. This paper will not fade or turn yellow!
